From the perspective of someone learning to swim and focusing on body position and technique the “Eney Buoy” is the best pull buoy I have tried(i have tried a lot). It’s super buoyant but can equally be reduced by filling with water. It doesn’t slip out, a problem i personally had struggled with some other pb’s. Having read a lot about it I order it from ETE and glad i did as communication/advise was great. I would Highly recommend both the Eney Buoy and ETE.

    • Thanks Sean – glad it’s working so well for you!

First of all I’m very grateful to Julian Hucker who took the responsibility for all postal service problems we faced and sent a buoy to Moscow twice 🙂 As result I received two buoys with the different kinds of connection between bottles. One of the buoys is designed to have a plug connection and another had a screw-bolt connection. After several workouts the buoy with a plug connection fell apart, however after using the buoy with a screw-bolt connection for one month it was still in a perfect condition. In my opinion the main advantage of this product comparing to ordinary pullbuoy is that you can reach the feeling of swimming with a wetsuit on.

    • Hi

I’m really sorry to hear about the “connectors” – have you still got it? I’d be happy to send through some new connectors. I agree that the new bolt style is more robust. I’m pleased that it’s working well for you

Used the Eney Buoy a few times now and still experimenting with the degree of buoyancy. I seem to need more buoyancy for front crawl & back stroke, both without the leg kick.
Breast stroke I do a few circuits using leg kick then use the Eney Buoy almost full of water and a lot less buoyancy than for front crawl/back stroke. Breast stroke with almost full E.B is certainly an upper body work out!
E.B is much easier to grip than I thought, (easier than foam buoys).
Yes, I suppose the E.B is a bit bulky but the adjustability if very useful & it seems strong and well made.
I like the Eney Buoy and although I don’t consider myself a technically good swimmer it gives a very flexible upper body work out for an hour or so & I would recommend the Eney Buoy.

As a late comer to swimmer in my 30s I was finding swim technique a real challenge and I was getting really demotivated. I went through various pull buoys before being recommended the Eney and it blows them all out of the water, literally. I look forward to the day that I am strong enough to fill it with water! Quite simply – buy an Eney, they are the best – you wont look back. Thanks also to Julian for an excellent service.
