Every triathlon is a race. Elite athlete or enthusiast, you train to race.

ETE Racing

We’re helping to support several athletes for the 2018 season. All are members of Perry Agass’ squad, and train with him in the UK and Cyprus. All will race during 2018 for ETE blueseventy Racing.

Each athlete has a story to tell and is striving to achieve some big goals within the sport. They will often be training alongside the camps throughout the year.

ETE Racing, comprising 8 athletes, sits alongside ETE Race Team: a collaborative team of camp alumni.

I’d always dreamed of being a professional athlete but didn’t have what it takes to make it in swimming (which was what I was training for as a kid.) I started my first tri race out of curiosity more than anything, found myself leading for 99% of the race and finished second (this was the Cypriot National Olympic Distance Championships). And so my fate was sealed!

Career Highlights:

  • 3rd Overall (Pro) – 2018 Israman
  • AG Champion – 2017 Olympic Distance European Championships
  • 3rd AG – 2017 Olympic Distance World Championships

I started competing in triathlons in 2013 because I wanted a new challenge having previously been a hockey player. I was instantly hooked. In 2015 I had my first experience representing GB as an age grouper at Olympic distance races. In 2016 I became an Age Group World Champion, winning in Mexico. The following year I decided to compete in some Half Ironman races as I felt it would suit my strengths more.  Due to my excellent results in these races, I was awarded my Pro Licence half way through the season. 2018 will be my first full season as a Pro which I am really excited about. I love the sport because it is so inclusive. People of any ability and age can all be racing at the same time .

Career Highlights:

  • AG World Champion Olympic distancend Overall –2016
  • AG English National Champion Olympic distance – 2016
  • 2nd Overall Olympic distance Castle Series – 2016

I started racing triathlon when I stopped running a competition stables and discovered sitting on the couch wasn’t for me. I started with local sprint triathlons and was instantly hooked. When that same year my club, Bedford Harriers, wanted to enter 25 members into an Ironman for its 25th anniversary I thought they were mad to look at me to make up numbers, but I was reeled in and have never looked back.

I began racing ETU and ITU championships the year after my first Ironman and loved every minute. Being part of the GB age group squad is really special and winning medals at them is just amazing. I hugley enjoy meeting like minded athletes from all over the world and sharing the experience of racing with them.

Career Highlights:

  • I have podiumed either outright or age group all the ITU and ETU triathlon and duathlons I have taken part in, at sprint, standard, middle and long course distances, all bar 2 gold.
