We’re helping to support several athletes for the 2018 season. All are members of Perry Agass’ squad, and train with him in the UK and Cyprus. All will race during 2018 for ETE blueseventy Racing.
Each athlete has a story to tell and is striving to achieve some big goals within the sport. They will often be training alongside the camps throughout the year.
ETE Racing, comprising 8 athletes, sits alongside ETE Race Team: a collaborative team of camp alumni.
I got into triathlon because I love the challenge of pushing myself to the limit. Every day and every race is an opportunity to push and to learn a little more about yourself.
Triathlon for me is all about an innate challenge to be as strong as I can and the feeling you get after pushing yourself in training and getting right on race day. Simply jumping in a lake or sea, smashing it up on the bike and charging through the run is as good as it gets!
I came to triathlon from a lifelong swim career, followed by some competitive bike racing. Triathlon is the ultimate test of self-perseverance and will power, and I enjoy being able to push my limits! It lets me find new places, meet new people, and discover new things about myself everyday!
I started racing triathlon when I stopped running a competition stables and discovered sitting on the couch wasn’t for me. I started with local sprint triathlons and was instantly hooked. When that same year my club, Bedford Harriers, wanted to enter 25 members into an Ironman for its 25th anniversary I thought they were mad to look at me to make up numbers, but I was reeled in and have never looked back.I began racing ETU and ITU championships the year after my first Ironman and loved every minute. Being part of the GB age group squad is really special and winning medals at them is just amazing. I hugley enjoy meeting like minded athletes from all over the world and sharing the experience of racing with them.
Triathlon is the ultimate test of fitness and strength, and the idea of physical self-improvement, testing the limit of my genetic capability, is so compelling that it quickly turns into an addiction. I am a self-proclaimed Triathlon Junkie constantly looking for my next hit of endorphins.
We’ll be announcing the new members of ETE Racing before the end of 2018
